of its founding April 16.

Valley Motor Company was
established April 15, 1916.
Throughout the United States,
the Ford Motor Company's 6400
dealers average 16 years' service
with the company. Among them
are 1112 dealers wtlh continuous
service of from 25 to 34 years, and
1204 with record of from 15 to
24 years.

Is On Honor Roll
Gordon Finley, Jr., son of Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Finley, of North
Wllkesboro, was on the senior
honor roll at Leas-McRae College
at Banner Elk for the third
quarter. To attain this honor a studnet
must average 2.5 or above.
Mr. Finley was one Of eleven
senolrs to make the honor
roll.

Rev. W. R'. Smith, III, will
preach at the First Presbyterian
Church Sunday morning, April
16th. Mr. Smith is a graduate of
Davidson College. After completing
his seminary training he returned
to Davidson to serve as
Y. M. C. A. secretary, and he is
still serving in that capactiy.
Revival In Progress
Evangelist Charlie Pardue, of
Jonesville, who is also a well
known soloiBt, la conducting a
two-weeks revival f which began
April 9 at Ziom Hill Pentecostal
Holiness church iear Cricket.

an operation at the Wilkes hospital

who is critically ill at the

to his home here after an operation
last week at Baptist hospital
in Winston-Salem. He is improving
rapidly, friends are glad

Cadet Tommy Turner was home
from the Georgia Military Academy,
College Park, Ga., to spend
the Easter season with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Turner,
Cricket postoffice. He had as his
guest Cadet Bill Reins, son of
Lieut. Colonel and Mrs. Ralph R.
Reins, who are now in Arkansas.
Cadet Reins is also a student at
the academy.
