Mr. Bauguss hooked a large1 fish and after efforts to land it the fish got off his hook in shal low water near the bank. Deter mined not to lose the fish, Mr. Bauguss jumped into the water and landed the 14-pound carp with his hands after it had freed itself from the hook. — o Mrs. Fred B. Byrd -Funeral On Friday i ■ Funeral service will be held Friday, two p. m., at Covenant Baptist church for Mrs. Lucy Em maline Byrd, 25, wife of Fred B. Byrd, of Dockery.
