C.) on the night of the 10th of May, 1S34, a negro man named He is about 31 years old, about 5 feet 1 1 inches high; no marks rec ollected; had on a homespun jeans j long coat, and common thread and cotton pantaloons. Jonn was purchased from Archibald Forbes, in Pitt county, near Greenville, and it is probable he will endeavor to get back to the same neighbor hood. The above reward of One Hundred Dollars will be paid to any one who will apprehend and lodge the said Negro in any jaH, so that the Subscriber can get him again. 'JIIE Proprietors respectfully inform the Public that they have at considerable expense lil ted up and arranged this Museum, and will exhibit the same in Tarborough until Court week, in the building next door below Mr. Pender's Hotel. Among the various personages represented are Washington, Lafayette, Jack sou, the Gnddess of Liberty, and 14 other figures together with a piece of the skin of the Sea Sarpent. and a variety of other curiosities. August 7. 1835. ViWs Grove Academy. 111 E Examination of the pupils in this School, under the care of Mr. E. Bullock, took place agreeably to appointment on Thursday, the 23d of July, and was attended by a large and re spectable audience much atten tion was given and order and de corum preserved. The pupils went through their respective part9 with decency and accuracy, which gained for themselves and their attentive Preceptor the ap planuse of all who witnessed their attainments. Few proceed ings of the kind have been more universally applauded. After the pupils had performed their several parfs, there was an appropriate address delivered by Lemuel Deberry, Esq. followed by another from Dr. John J. Daniel. Several other gentle men addresed the company, and the exercises were closed by a very applicable address delived hy the Rev. Mark Bennett, af ter which the company retired from the stage to regale them seles with the festivities of the day all highly pleased with the proceedings of the day and with each other. 1st August, 1S35. They now have and expect to keep constantly on hand the Very best Cotton Yarns, From Nos. 2 to 18 inclusive. Also, various sizes of the best Cotton Seine Twine its dura bility and strength has been fairly tested, and the Subscribers feel no hesitation in pronouncing it inferior to none, if not superior to any in market. Hoth the above articles they expect to deliver to purchasers on as liberal terms as articles of the same quality can be procured elsewhere. The usu al charge for conveyance will be made. Terms of sale for all quanti ties of Yarn over one thousand pounds, six months credit will be allowed for any quantity under one thousand pounds, four months, the purchaser giving note (with out interest) at the lime the Yarn is delivered, payable at the above stated times. The proprietors of fisheries will do well to apply to the Subscri bers for twine for the future, as a very liberal credit will be given. Messrs.
