that condition of general debility, will,
languid appetite, which often attends con
valescence from idiopathic fevers.
To the jYcrvous and Debilitated,
Dr. ISvaH' Tonic PHI.
The powers of Evans' Camomile Pills
are such, that the palpitating heart, the
tremulous hand, the dizzy eye, and the
fluttering mind, vanish before their effects
like noxious vapors before the benign in
fluence of the morning sun. They have
been long successfully used for the erne
of inlermitlents, together with fevers ol
the irregular nervous kind, accompanied
with visceral obstructions.
This tonic medicine is for nervous com
plaints, general debility, indigestiun and
iis consequences, as want of appetite, dis
tension of the stomach, acidity, unpleas
ant taste in the mouth, rumbling noise in
the bowels, nervous symptoms, languor,
when the mind becomes irritable, despon
ding, thoughtful, melancholy and deject
ed. Ilypochondriacism, consumption,
dimness of sight, delirium, and all other
nervous affections, these pills will produce
a safe and permanent cure.
Evans' Pills were first introduced in
America in 1S35.

Extract of a letter of Jonas Snyder,
Post Master, keruesville, Pa., to Dr. Wi!
liam Evans.
Among several cases the following is
found: An elderly lady, who had been 25
years so afllicted with nervous hypochon
dria, debility, kc. that for the last three
years she constantly received medical aid
iiuiu a i cojjciiuuic pn ssiciuii; uui me
pressure and pain on her heart and breast,
and especially in her left side, remained
immovable, attended at long intervals
with weakness in her head and on her
mind, keeping her discouraged to under
take any thing. In May she commenced
using Dr. Vv. Evans' medicines ac
cording to the directions accompanying
them. A reaction took place; the pain
and pressure in her body w as removed; her
miud became clear and strong; her spirits
perfectly good, and up to this lime il is in
all respects restored to health which for
the last ten years she has not enjoyed.

medicines are indebted for
(heir name
to their manifest and
sensible action in purifying ihe springs and
channels of life, and enduing them with
renewed lone and vigor. In many hun
dreds of certified cases which have been
made public, and in almost every species
of disease to which the human frame is
liable, the happy eflVcts of
Life Pi! is & Plteuix Bitters,
Have been gratefully and publicly ac
nouledged by the persons bene fitted, and
who were previously unacquainted with
ihe beautifully philosophical principles up
on which they are compounded, and up
on which they consequently act.
The IjU'c tied i fines
Recommend themselves in diseases of
every form and description. Their first
operation is to loosen from the coals of
ihe stomach and bowels, the various im
purities and crudities constantly settling;
around them, and to remove the hardened
faeces which collect in the convolutions of
the small intestines. Other medicines
only partially cleanse these, and leave
such collected masses behind as to pro
duce habitual costiveuess, with all ils
train of evils, or sudden diarrhoea, with its
imminent dangers. This fact is well
known to all regular anatomists, who ex
amine the human bowels after death; and
hence the prejudice of these well informed
men against quack medicines or me
dicines prepared and heralded to the pub
ic bv ignorant persons. The second
effect of the Life Medicines is to cleanse
the kidneys and the bladder, and by this
means, the liver k. the lungs, the healthful
action of which entirely depeuds upon the
regularity of ihe urinary organs. The
blood, w hich lakes its red color from the
agency of the liver and the lungs before it
passes into the heart, being thus purified by
them and nourished by food coming from
a clean stomach, courses freely thro' the
veins, renews every part of ihe system,
and triumphantly mounts the banner of
health in the blooming cheek.
M offal's Vegetable Life Medicines
have been thoroughly tested, and pro
nounced a sovereign remedy for Dyspep

FEVER AND AGUE, particularly, the
Life Medicines have been most eminently
successful; so much so thai in the Fever

All that Mr. Moffat requires of "his pa

by any thing that he himself may say in
their favor, that he hopes to gain credit.
It is alone by the results of a fair trial.
