DISEASE A UNIT, Impurity of the BLOOD the only Disease. 0W simple, yet how wise, how good and beautiful are all the laws ol na ture? Simplicity and truth are stamped upon every l.nv of the creation. The mighty worlds which roll in space in every "degree of velocity and direction are all governed by ATTRACTION OF MATTER TO MATTER. This principle governs the human bo dv. lirandrellis Vtzelable Univtrsal l'ils attract all impurities of the blood to the bowels, which organ expels them ftomthe body. Attraction and disease are both units. All accidents or infec tions only auect the body in proportion as they occasion impurity of the blond. The bowels for instance are costive this most important organ is closed the consequence is a creat accumulation f impurities, which, as theT cannot get oui by their usual passage, are forced into the blood, occasioning impurity of blood Thus, Fevers, Cholics, Rheumatism, Coughs, and Colds are often produced. But let Brandreth's Pills be used in such doses as will effectually evacuate the bow els, and health is restored at once. Hot weather, by occasioning debility produces impurity of blood; from which arises Dysentary, Cholera Morbus, cramps in the bowels, feebleness, nain in the back and hip joints, headache, &c, &c These unpleasant companions are speedi ly removed by a few doses ol Brandreth's Pills, which soon restore health by puri fying the blood. Grief, great anxieties of mind, much watching, fear, bad food, intemperance, residence near marshy land, tend in a ve iy powerful degree lo promote impurity of the blood, which soon shows itself in Erysipelas, consumption, epileptic fits, appoplexy, scurry, ever and ague, de langement of the stomach and bowels, all which symptoms will soon be removed by purifying the blood with the Bran dreth Pills. Small pox. scarlet fever, putrid fevers, even spotted fever, and fevers of all kinds are propagated only by those whose blood is in a state of impurity; thee maladies are mild or virulent according as the blood be charged with impurities pre vious to the infection being received, and never attack those whose blood is in a state of purity. The Brandreth Pills, by purifying the blood, soon cure these mal adies; in fact the Pills go at once to col lect all the causes of these complaints, which are brought by their health restor ing powers to the bowels, and so removed out of the body, leaving the blood pure and healthy. Fracture, bruises, &c. &c, pioduce im purity of the blood by occasioning a de rangement of the general health. If Brandreth Pills are uot used so as lo pre vent an accumulation of humors in the bowels, these humors pass into ihe blood, and soon find their way to the weak part, i. e. the local injury, and are likely soon to produce inflammation, often mortifica tion of the part. Whereas, wtie the Brandreth Pills used daily alter any inju ry had been done to the body, uolhing would go to the injured part but what was necessary for its perfect restoration. Olten when a bone has been broken and this advice has been followed, it has rot well in a quarter the u?ual time. It would be well for those exposed to dangers lo consider this subject, its adoption might save their bodies from mutilations, might save their lives. Ulcers are produced by impurity of the blood; the part where it breaks out had in days gone by bi en injured, and therefore its powers of life could not repel ihe im purity of the blood when it settled upon it. Soon the acidity or secrocity exco riates the fibres and opens the ulcers. Here we have a drain or outlet opened for the bad humors, for the impurity of the blood to pas out of the body. Salves and all kinds of applications are applied to it, but it don't get well. But let Bran dreth's Pills be used, say four or six of f hem to be taken daily, the Pills will open another drain, i. e. the bowels; the bad humors contained in the blood will thus he discharged from the body by their na lural outlet, and none will be let I to keep i'P the irritation and burning in Ihe ulcer, and it will get well. In like manner are white swellings, unnatural enlargements, I'ver complaints, gravel, salt rheum, dis ease of the prostrate gland, cured by ab- .i,ufi wimuie lirandrelh Pills the impurities from the blood. All persons who do not feel well sh Pills. No man was ever sick long whose blood was kept pure. No man can be in good health it his blood be impure. ,,7 " ""purities ol vour blood lo your bowelswhhBrandreth's pills and you will be as strong and healthy as me me wi 1 111 ii yuu iscdpatueot sustaining Agents are appointed in every county mine nie, tor me sale 0f Dr. B,an rirtitk',. EVANS' SOOTHING SYJ1U1 For children Teething) PREPARED BY HIMSELF. To Mothers and Nurses. r"lP II E passage of ihe Teeth through the gums produces troublesome and dan gerous symptoms. Il is known by moth ers thai there is great irritation in the mouth and gums during this process. The gums swell, the secretion of saliva is in creased, the child is seized with frequent and sudden fits of crying, watchings, start iug in the sleep, and spasms of peculiar parts, the child shrieks with extreme vio lence, and thrusts its fingers into its mouth. If these precursory symptoms are not spee dily alleviated, spasmodic convulsions uni versally supervene, and soon cause the dissolution of the infant. If mothers who have their little babes afflicted with these distressing symptoms, would apply Dr. William Evans's Celebrated Soothing Syrup, which has preserved hundreds of infants when thought past recovery, from being suddenly attacked with that fata malady, convulsions. rr i r in i t i ins iniaiimie remedy nas preserved hundreds of Children, when thought past recovery, from convulsions. As soon as ihe Syrup is rubbed on the gums, the chih will recover. This preparation is so in nocent, so efficacious, and so pleasant, that no child will refuse to let its gums be rubbed with it. When infants are at the age of four months, though there is no ap pearance of teeth, one bottle of the Syrup should be used tiri the gums, to open the pores. Parents should never be without the Syrup in the nursery where there are young children; for if a child wakes in the night with pain in the gums, the Syrup immediaiely givesease by open ing the pores and healing the gums; there by preventing Convulsions, Fevers, Sic. To the Agent of Dr. Evans Soothing Syrup: Dear Sir ihe great benefit afforded to my suffering infant by your Soothing Syrup, in a case of protracted and painful dentition, must convince every feeling parent how essential an early ap plication of such an invaluable medicine is to relieve infant misery and torture. Mv infant, while teething, experienced such acute sufferings, that it was attacked with convulsions, and my wife and family sup posed that death would soon release the babe from anguish till we procured a bot tle of your Syrnp; which as soon as ap plied to the gums a wonderful change was produced, and after a few applications the child displayed obvious relief, and by con tinuing in its use. I am glad to inform you, the child has completely recovered, and no recurrence of that awful complaint has since occurred; the teeth are emana ting daily and ihe child enjoys perfect health. I giveyou my cheerful permission to make this acknowledgment public, and will gladly give any information on this circumstance. When children begin to be in pain with their teeth, shooting in their gums, put a little of the Syrup in a tea-spoon, and with the finger let the child's gums be rubbed for two or three minutes, three times a day. It must not be put to the breast immediaiely, for the milk would take the syrup off too soon. When the teeth are just coming through their gums, mothers should immediately apply the sy rup; it will prevent the children having a fever, and undergoing that painful opera tion of lancing the gums, which always makes the tooth much -harder to come through, and sometimes causes deaih. MOFFAT'S Vegetable Life Pilh And Piicnix Hitlers. rgnilESE Medicines are indebted for their name to their manifest and sible action in purifying the springs and channels of life, and enduim iti0m ...:.L - o enewed tone and vigor, and to the n doubted fact that at a very early period in tneir nisiory mey Had rescued sufferers from the very verge of an untimely grave ;fter all the deceptive nostrums of il.a day, prescribed by physicians, had utter ly laueu, in wnien cases they also perma nently secured that uniform enjoyment of health, without which life itself is but a partial blessing. So great indeed had their efficacy invariably proved, that it was scarcely less than miraculous to those who were unacquainted with the beauti fully philosophical principles upon which they were compounded, and upon which they consequently act. The following are among the distress ing variety of human diseases, to which The Vegetable I.ile Pills Are well known to be infallible: DYSPEPSIA, by thoroughly cleans ing the first and second stomachs, and creating a How of pure healthy bile, in stead of the stale and acrid kind: Flatu tency, Palpitation of the heart, Loss of appetite, heart burn and headache, rest lessness, ill temper, anxiety, languor and melancholy, which are the general symp toms of Dyspepsia, will vanish as a natural consequence of its cure. Costiveness, by cleansing the whole length of the intes tines with a solvent process and without violence; all violent purges leave the bowels costive within two days. Diarr hoea and cholera, by removing the sharp acrid fluids by which these complaints are occasioned, and by promoting the Judi cative secretions of the mucous mem brane. Fevers of all kinds, by restoring the blood to a regular circulation through the process of perspiration in some cases, and the thorough solution of all intestinal obstructions in others. The Eife Medicines Have been known to enre Rheumatism permanently in three weeks, and Gout in half that time, by removing local inflam mation from ihe muscles and ligaments of the joints. Dropsies of all kinds, by free ing and strengthening the kidneys and bladder; they operate most delightfully on those important organs, and hence have ever been found a certain remedy for the worst cases of gravel. Also Worms, by dislodging from the turnings of the bowels the slimy matter to which these creatures adhere; Asthma and consump tion, by relieving the air vessels of the lungs from the mucus, which even slight colds will occasion, which if not removed becomes hardened, and produces those dieadful diseases. iScurvy, Ulcers, and inveterate Sores, by the perfect purity which these Life Pills give to the blood, and all the humors; Scorbutic Eruptions and bud complexions, by their alterative ellect upon the fluids that feed ihe skin, the morbid state of which occasions all Erup tive complaints, sallow, cloudy, and other disagreeable complexions. The use of these pills for a very short time, will effect an entire cure of Suit rheum. Erysipelas, and a striking improvement in the clear ness of ihe skin. Common colds and Influ enza, will always be cured by one dose, or by two, even in the worst cases. Pihs as a remedy for this most distressing & obstinate malady, the Vegetable Life Pills deserve a distinct and emphatic recom mendation, h is well know n to hundreds in the city of New York, that the origina tor of these invaluable Pills was himself alflicted with this complaint for upwards of thirty five years, and that he tried in vain every remedy prescribed within the whole compass of the Materia Medica. He however, at length, tried the Medicine which he now offers to the public, and he "as cured in a very short time, after his recovery had been pronounced not only improbable, but absolutely impossible, by auy human , means. All thai Mr. Moffat req tires of his pa tients is to be particular in taking the Life Medicines strictly according to the direc tions. It is not by a newspaper notice, or by any thing thai he himself may say in their favor, that he hopes lo gain credit. It is alone by the results of a fair trial. In addition the numerous testimonial in their favor, which accompany the above medicines, many references in this vicini ty of their beneficial effects can be given on application to the subscriber, who oi lers them for sale.
