THEE pills whenever they have been lairly tried, have established an envia ble celebrity, and are daily superceding all other preparations of medicine in curing those diseases for which they are recom mended. It is believed that the rapidity of the sale of this invaluable medicine (in those States of the Union where they have been introduced) and the reputation it has acquired in the brief space of twelve months, has heretofore been unprecedented iri the annals of medicine since the days of Hippocrates, the father of the healing art, to the present time. Numerous testimonials In favor of these f)ills might here be given, but let the fol owing suffice: From Mr. Isaac M. Thomas, merchant, at Talladega Springs, Alabama. . Talladega Springs, Talladega Co. dla. August 17, 1842. This is to certify, that I have been afflicted with Sick headache, dyspepsia and liver complaint, and eostiveness for the last eight cr nine years; daring which time I had taken as well as I recollect, about sixty boxes of Beckwith's pills, twelve box es of Peters' pills, and anumberof boxesof Cham pion's and lSrandreUi s pills, all of winch aliorded me but little or no relief. At last I was recom mended to try Dr. S V E N C K It's V K Ci KT A 0 L K PILLS, and well 1 did; for I never had but one attack of the sick headache alter 1 commenced ta king the pills, (now about six months,) and i can didly confess, that I have derived more real bene fit from the use of Spencer's pills, than from all the other medicines and pills that I have ever ta ken, and I would earnestly recommend them to all, as being in my opinion, the best medicine in use for all lingering complaints. The pills have done me so much good, that 1 would not feel willing to be without them for five dollars a box; and I cannot but feel very grateful to Dr. Spencer for having prepared such a valuable medicine, and the distribution of it is conferring a very great fa vor on the public, as it is a thing of the utmost im portance that every family should have a supply of Dr. Spencer's truly valuable pills constantly on hand. Shaftbubv, Uennington county, Vt.'Augi 4, 110 Dr. .lavne: Dear Sir. Being- acquainted with some of those recommending your HAltt TON IC, to wit: Rev. C. C. Park, Kev. l)r, iiatie-och, and Rev. L. Fletcher, 1 purchased two bottles, with a view to make an experiment. I have t.een quite bald for about four years, and obliged t wear a wig. Indeed it is constitutional with my fami ly to" be bald in early life. 1 confess, I had but little r-nnfidpnee in the attempt. having been so long bald, and being near 46 years of age, and that part of my head destitute of hair exceedingly smoothi I, however, commenced agreeably to vour directions, and used one bottle faithfully, and with verv little effect; but before I had-used lhe second bottle, a very fine fuzzy hair became per ceptible, which continued te grow, and now hav ing used the third bottle, 1 have aau inree cut tings performed, and the prospect is very flattering that I shall again be blessed with a fine head of hair, ornamental and useful. I am extremely gra tified with the prospect, and from observations made, many of my friends and acquaintances, who have heretofore regarded the preparation as decep tive, and . only a catch-penny concern, are now well satisfied that it is "Truth No Fiction." J. W. Sawvek. Pastor of the Baptist church, Shafibury, Vt. We know Dr. Quigly personally, and there is no man in the country, whose opi nion is entitled to more respect. He is on all subjects honest and sincere, and his hiuh character as a Physician can be attested by the first medical men in this city. Phil adelphia Sun. . Shepherd's Town, Vra. Oct. 10, 181,'). Hear Sir, You inquire of me whether 1 have used your Hair Tonic, and the effects! Several years ago my hair began to fall rapidly from the scalp, and I had the prosper! of prema ture baldnessi During several years I used vari ous preparations recommended for the hair, from which I derived no benefit. At leuglh a friend recommended your Hair Tonic. I used three or four bottles according to the. printed directions, and at the end of six months, my hair was thick set, & since its tendency to turn grey was arrested. I have never before given a cerlificate, recom mending patent medicines, w hith indiscriminately used, as they often are, do much injury, but in a case like the present, where 1 know the article to be beneficial, and that it can do no harm; I have no scruples in stating facts within my own know ledge. How important then to use it, and who will d rc take the responsibility to Uo without it? Let every p irent that is not a hi tile, ask themselves this question in truth and soberness. In some of the best families in the neigh hot hood of . John's Park, it has been ex tensively used, from the circumstance of having eradicated a large quantity of worms, after all other remedies had failed, which was extensively known in that part of the city. In numerous cases other complaints were supposed to exist, and the persons treated for fever, &c. but finally a trial of this Ver- mifuze discovered the true cause of the sickness, by bringing away almost an innu merable quantity of worms, large and small, and the persons recovered with great despatch.
