Miss Walden Is Adjudged Winner In Screen Test Miss Virginia Walden of Lan drum, attractive young college stu dent, yesterday was adjudged win ner of the screen tests made here ,in Spartanburg, in search of mo tion picture talent conducted by the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios >in cooperation with The Spartan burg Herald and the Carolina Theatre. As winner of the screen tests in Spartanburg, Miss Walden will represent Spartanburg in grand finals of the talent quest in the Garolinas to be held at Charlotte, N. C., on August 3. Six key cities of North and South Carolina will be represented in the Charlotte tests, and the winner there will be awarded a free trip to Hollywood. Selection of Miss Walden as the winner of the screen tests in Spar tanburg was made by C. Edward Carrier, M-G-M screen test direc tor, in Hollywood.
