Two golf tournaments were com
pleted this week-end at the Tryon
Country club. The unfinished
•finals of the annual Fourth of July
Tournament was won by Leland
Hilton over Earl Rion, 2 up and 1
to plav in the first flight. In the
sixth flight of the same tournament
in which nine flights were played
Alfred Buchanan won over E. C.
Rowe 2 up.
In the four-ball handicap tour
nament held during the week-end
Baxter Haynes, Carroll Rogers,
Ralph Erskine and George Bran
non won with a net score of 299.
The runners up were C. N. Sayre,
Julian Calhoun, B. B. Bishop, Sr.,
and F. P. Bacon with a combined
net score of 301. Individual
scores were as follows:
