A visit to the Piedmont Boy
Scout camp at Lake Lanier will
convince the most skeptical that
a wonderful job has been done in
the past by leaders of Scouting
in the eleven counties of the
Piedmont Council. Here in Polk
county, Nelson Jackson, Jr., Sena
tor F. P. Bacon, Maj. Bernard
Sharp, Scoutmaster W. A. Schil
letter, Dr. A. J. Jervey can see
the results of their labors for the
past 15 years or more. And those
interested citizens who have backed
up these men with money can see
too, some of the fine things their
money has accomplished. It takes
money and interested men to do
big things. Those parents ■„ who
fail to back up the men and the
money. with their own interest
and enthusiasm have robbed their
children of some of the finer things
of life—things acquired only thru
