Chief Waldrop
Quits Office At
Rutherfordton
Rutherfordton, July 20.—S. E.
Waldrop, who for the past 16
years has been chief of police
here, retired from the office on
Wednesday, being succeeded by C.
B. Justice. Mr. Waldrop, a native
of Polk county, has been a resi
dent of Rutherfordton for 20
years.
Patrolman Wayne Bridges also
retired from the force Wednesday,
being replaced by Carol Wright.
James M. Fritz of Dubuque,
lowa, and Charles Schueroff of
New York City, Princeton Uni
versity classmates of James Rowe,
are guests of the Rowes on Grady
avenue.
