Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Shelnutt and guests have returned from a week at Floral Beach. The party included Misses Peggy Pope of Bessemer, Ala.; Anne Winters, Peggy Prather of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Stephen Dessau, Ma con, Ga.; Katherine Palmer, Albemarle, N. C.; Virginia Gofer, St. Simon’s Island, Ga.; and Nancy MlcGehee, Rome, Ga.; also from Tryon, Miss Hope Rogers, Miiss Betty Shelnutt, Miss Ruth Rowe and John David McGeachy, Jack Davenport, Anson Merrick, Harold Shelnutt, Nelson Jackson, 3rd, Theo Kerhulas, Bill Ward. They were joined by John Kittrell from Laurens and Miss Gertrude Cook of Spartanburg. Mr. and Mrs. C. I. Dixon and daughter, Pauline, of Columbia, S. C., Mrs. James McKenna and daughter, Mary, and M'rs. E. B. Dixon and granddaughter, Claire Dixon, have returned to their homes after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Brownlee. Rev. D. M. MfcGeachy under went an appendix operation at St. Luke’s hospital on Tuesday after noon. Mrs. A. W. Morris of Mill Spring, route 3, underwent an op eration at St. Luke’s hospital this morning. Mrs. W. A. Cook of Camden, Ala., has returned home after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. R. M. McCown. Miss Rosa McCown of Darlington, S. C., is a guest of Mr. and Mrs. MteCown.
