Continued On Back Page Tryon Defeats Forest City In Golf Match Tryon golfers defeated the For est City team in a golf match on Thursday afternoon at the Tryon Country club. The score was 19% for Tryon and 7% for Forest City. Low scores were made by Guy Williams of Forest City, 81, Sayre ojj? Tryon, 83. Jocko Lyles, Forest City Pro, 83. A return match will be held at Forest City on Thurs day, ‘August 11th. Those desiring to make the trip should notify Pro Larry Brooks. Scoring was as folows: Tryon Pts. Palmer and L. Sloss of Tryon, will be starred with Luise Rainer iri the Toy Wife at Tryon’s Theatre on Sunday and Monday. Mfiss O’Neil has not been to Try on but her mother, Mrs. David O’Neil, of Cos Cob, Conn., visited • Mr. and M]rs. Sloss last Christmas and local friends of the family are interested in the appearance of Miss O’Neil here. “Toy Wife” won the Brilliant Academy award. Scene laid in Louisiana of 1850’s. Miss O’Neil appeared here before with Barbara Stanwyck, as the second wife in “Stella Dallas.” - She was leading lady last sum mer for Walter Huston on the stage in “MJiles of Heaven” and was once assistant stage manager for Melvyn Douglas, who plays opposite Luise Rainer in “Toy Wife.” Chicago, July 28.—The Pullman company announced tonight rates for all Pullman car accommoda tions—with the exception of upper berths—would be advanced five per cent next Monday.
