The visitors will be from Welcome high school of Greenville, S. C. This team was played about three years ago and made a good impression on the local fans by the excellent brand of football they played. The local team will be ready to give a good account of itself and will need the support of all its backers. Out of the big squad of last year there will be only four regu lars, starting. In the back field, Henry McGeachy, one of the fast est men in Western Carolina, will assume the position of quarter back. Homer Shields, a big and powerful fellow, is easily able to take care of one tackle post. Bill Swann, last year’s center, will take care of the middle of the line. Glenn Foster, a capable end, completes the regulars. However, Seth Vining, and Harold Taylor, getting tougher every practice, will probably see plenty of action. On the other end, Alex Beatson, who can punt, pass, and tackle, will take over the left flank. With sev eral others, including big Richard McClure, Ramsey brothers, Mc- Callister, Todd, Foster, Melton, Thompson, Wall and Ed Beatson, the line will have some reserve forces. The backfield will be one of the fastest ever* to represent Tryon. Dutton Beatson, a basketball ex pert seems as well at home on the football field as on the court. His hall handling and running is exceptionally good. Bill Nance, a 110 pound man seems determined by his hard work to play football in spite of his size. He is about as fast and aggressive as dyna mite. Byers and Green are also working out for the backfield. Green has exceptional talent in kicking and broken field running. Special Stationery Orders are now printed and are ready for de livery. Please call at Wood’s Press.—Advertisement.
