TRYGN MOTOR CO., Inc. Service Estate to Be Sold Lyme, Conn., Sept. 12. The 115-acre estate of William Gillette, the actor, including his palatial castle on the Connecticut River which he desired should never go to any ‘‘blithering sap-head,” will be sold at auction October 1, it was ■ announced today. The estate on which Gillette maintained a three-mile private road, recently was appraised at $65,000.00. —Ex- change. Mrs. G. S. Connor has as guests at her home in Gillette Woods, Mrs. Herbert Woodall, Mts. R. R. Sterling and Mrs. C. W. Herbest of Detroit. ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SB,OOO REiFITNDING BONDS BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Tryon, North Carolina, as follows: Section 1. That the Town of Tryon issue its bonds pursuant to the MUNICIPAL FINANCE ACT, as amended in an amount not ex ceeding $8,000.00 for the purpose of refunding and paying a like f\ Pause... fresh®! BUY THE CARTON deposit G-10 amount of principal of valid sub sisting bonded indebtedness due as shown by the schedule below which indebtedness was incurred for necessary expenses of the said town and is evidenced by the fol lowing: $4,000 Street Improvement Bonds dated April 1, 1922, due Aprd 1, 1939, payable at National City Bank, New York. $4,000 Water Bonds, dated April 1, 1926, due April 1, 1939, payable at National City Bank, Nr" 7 ’’’“'■'rk Section 2. That a tax sufficient to pay the principal and interest of said bonds shall be levied and collected. Section 3. That a statement of the debt of the Town has been filed with the Clerk and is open to public inspection. Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and shall not be submitted to the voters. The foregoing ordinance was passed On the 11th day of Julv, 1938, and was first published on the 20th day of September, 1938.
