Est. 1-31-28 Thanksgiving Program At Tryon School The second grade will give a Thanksgiving program at twelve on Wednesday, November Wth. The scene will be outside the Pilgrim cabins at Plymouth. The Pilgrims will be sitting around a bountifully supplied table. They are: Elbert Brew ster, James Cowan; Mr. Winslow, Elliott Richards; Grovernor Brad ford, Vance McCown; Ellen Car ver, June Buckner; Floyd Winslow, Floyd Walker; Jane Alden, Gene va Newman. Massascit, who is Wiley White, and his braves, Harvey Waters, Thomas Arledge, Ray Mills, John and Billy Parker, will visit the Pilgrims. Two cats, Ray Melton and Jerry Hale are so hungry that they have come to the Thanksgiving feast. Other Pilgrim maidens are: Doris Edwards, Arbycine McClure, Margaret Johnston, Joan Pierce, Arbara Lee Powell and Geraldine -sigh. Children of today are: Barbara l Ruth Mills, Myrtle Pittman, Geor gia Huntsinger, Charles Boone, Mike Glover, Mack Rollins. There will be Indian and Pil grim songs, an Indian corn dance, a Thanksgiving song and other feature to entertain any one who wishes to come to chapel cn Wed nesday. School of Religion Mrs. Elford C. Morgan will lec ture at the seventh session of the Tryon School of Religion at the Church of the Holy Cross on Tues day evening at 7:45. Topic: “The Meaning and Philosophy of the Book of Job.” TRYON, N. C., MONDAY, NOV. 17, 1941 CLYDE HENSON Landrum, Nov. 16.—Clyde Hen son, 34, well-known resident of the Highland township, Green ville county, died at 3:30 o’clock this afternoon at his home. He had been in ill health for sometime and seriously ill for 10 days. Mr. Henson was bom and reared in the Highland section. He was a sen of the late Lewis Henson and Sally Lister Henson. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Flemmy and L. C. Henson; two daughters, Mary Evelyn and Sylvia Nell Henson; a brother, Claude Henson of Landrum route 2, and a sister, Mrs. Gary Bar ton of Landrum route 2. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:30 c ’clock from the Eberiezer-Welcome Baptist church with the Rev. Broadus Belue and the Rev. J. G. Stroud officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.—Spartanburg Herald. Five Guessers Tie In Football Predictions Five people guessed 13 winners out of 15 in the Ballenger-Jackson contest last week-end. The winner will be determined on how well they guess this week’s winners in the advertisement published in to day’s Bulletin. Those new tied for first place are J. W. Taylor, Woodrow Hague, Mrs. Woodrow Hague, J. Frank Richardson, Seth Vining, Jr. Kiwanis Meets Tuesday The Tryon Kiwanis club will meet on Tuesday at 1 p. m., at Oak Hall hotel.
