The Tryon Kiwanis club will
meet on Tuesday at 1 p. m., at
Oak Hall hotel.
Sheriff W. D. Hines returned
Stonday from New York where he
carried a man who had escaped
from an asylum. The man was
taken off a freight train at Saluda
by Chief Gurley Laughter. H e had
a foreign accent and did not have
card.
Mr. and Mrs. Otis West of
Charleston, S. C., are spending
a few days with Mrs. West’s
mother, Mrs. John Orr.
Angelo Monitto and Leonard
Rowe of Camp Croft spent the
weekend in Tryon.
Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Crandall
have been called to Evanston, 111.,
by the death of Mrs. Crandall’s
daughter, Mrs. F. O. Ebeling.
