At its third meeting on Friday The Home Friendly club welcom ed still more interested people who crowded the room and brought new ideas. The treasurer, B. L. Ballenger, had the best news. Having been $75 in the red three weeks ago, we are now $41 in the black with more promised. This enables us to start new projects which were waiting for funds. Besides cash contributior.3 wel come donations are coming in from business men: Khaki for fifty kits from B. L. Ballenger and the jawch needed filing cabinet and s from W. C. Ward. A new committee with Mrs. Bernard Manning as chairman, will send a birthday message to every boy whose family sends the date and address to her or leaves it at the town office with Mrs. Lancaster. One has already gone at short notice across the conti nent by air mail. The kit committee, Mrs. P. D. Karsten, Jrv chairman, meets next Monday at 2 o’clock in the Parish House to make the bags. Everyone is welcome—bring suggestions as to rilling them. Mrs. George L. Carl Graffijignino enroute from Fort Benning, Ga., to Fort Devaps, Mass., is the guest of Miss Fay Sprague. Rev. C. P. Burnett will preach Sunday in Charlotte at the Holy Comforter Episcopal church in the absence of the rector, Rev. R. B. Owens, who is ill.
