Garris, state extension patholo gist of Raleigh, will show colored slides and lead a discussion on making the most out of Victory and Lunch Room Gardens. County Agent J. A. The Woman’s Missionary society of the Tryon First Baptist church will meet Tuesday at 4 p. m., with Mrs. R. E. Brantley. Rev. George W. Truet, noted Baptist preacher, will conduct a series of meetings at Shelby, be ginning Sunday, June 7th. Duke an.;} Davidson will play football September 27th, at Win ston-Salem.
