Nance, 47, of 724 South Church street, Spartanburg, who died at a hospital in Spartanburg at 8:15 Wednesday morning following three years of ill health, will bq conducted today (Thursday) af ternoon at 3 o’clock at the J. F. Floyd Mortuary by Dr. E. Gibson Davis and the Rev. C. E. Ver million. Interment will be in the Oak wood cemetery. Mr. Nance was a native of Polk County, where he was born October 9th, 1894, the son of the late Z. B. and Marietta Quinn Nance. He was a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist church of Landrum. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bertha Hamilton Nance; three daughter, Mrs. Fred Webb Crowe of Columbia and Mrs. L. I. Bene dict and Mrs. Leon Benedict, both of Spartanburg; one son, Robert Nance of Wilmington, N. C.; a sister, Mrs. George Dearman of Spartanburg; two brothers, S. S. Nance and B. F. Nance, both of Pacolet; and one grandchild. Boy Stout meeting at school house tonight at 7 o’clock, acord ing to Scoutmaster Dr. Will Mc Call. Pfc. Jim Brock has returned to Fort Dix, after a week’s visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Brock here. Jim is an auto matic gunner in the army and is also on the intelligence staff.
