Gambrell of Hendersonville, head of Division One of Carolinas Kiwanis District installed the Tryon Kiwanis offi cers and directors as follows: Seth M. Vining, president; P. L. Barnette, vice president; Woodrow Hague, secretary; James R. Gibson, treasurer and directors Archie Cov ington, John Wardlaw, K. A. Bow en, Leonard Porter, Craip- B. 1 nomas, Chas. J. Lynch, J. Lee Lavender and immediate past presi dent Elbert H. Arledge. Mr. Gapibrell told of the import ant work of Kiwanis and spoke of this year’s slogan “Liberty, Let’s Keep it.” Guests of the club were Arthur Lister, Providence, R. I., and Troy Morris of Sandy Plains.’ LANDRUM NEWS NOTES By Mrs. C. M. Littlefield Jr. Mrs. W. M. Lambright has re turned from a visit with her two sons and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Lambright of Spartan burg and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lambright in Asheville. Mrs. Roland Lee has returned from Spartanburg after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Connelly and family and Mr. and Mrs. Nick Dobey and family, and has as a guest, Mrs. M. C. Smith of Simp sonville. Mr. and Mrs. Lee had as guests during the holidays, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Lee Jr., of Wash ington, D. C. Guests returning home after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Koon include Mr. and Mrs. T. W.
