THE EXCHANGE OPENS
St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary is
in business! Tomorrow, The Ex
change will open its doors to the
public. The new shop in the Pres
ton building has been set in order;
new shelves have been installed;
tables and chairs added. Mrs. Wm.
T. Capers Jr., who will manage
the shop, will be on hand at the
opening hour, 10 a. m., to welcome
prospective buyers. Mrs. James
Waller Marshall, chairman of the
Policy Committee, will attend in
an advisory capacity and volunteers
will assist in the sales.
Over the past week, many im
portant items have been brought to
the shop to be sold. This is the
initial period, however, and it will
take time to build up a complete
stock. No one need be discouraged
if the article they are seeking is
not immediately available. Mean
while, there will be scores of bar
gains for those who know values.
! Make it a habit to stop in at
The Exchange any Tuesday, Thurs"
day or Saturday from 10 to 4
