Mrs. H. H. Marshall of Glen Ellyn, 111., is visiting’ her brother, John E. Todd and family at Try on Lodge. Last week Wilmer Dempsey of Spartanburg, a polio victim, and nephew of Miss Leila Dempsey and Mrs. W. A. Wilson of Tryon, was flown to Houston, Texas for speci al treatment in a hospital where he will learn new breathing habits. I'he Spartanburg Infantile Paralys is Chapter and friends all over this area paid the expenses of the trip. The plane was supplied by his fellow officers of the U. S. Air Forces. He is a graduate of The Citadel and was stricken last September. Local contributions to the March of Dimes Fund may be made to Miss Jane Brown, treas urer; James R. Gibson at Tryon Bank & Trust Co., or to Chairman Craig B. Thomas.
