Whitaker and daughter, Rebecca, of Richmond, Va., are visiting her sister, Mrs. Boyd Swain and Mr. Swain. John C. Gibson and daughters, Misses Betty and Mary Louise, visited i*elatives at Charlotte on Sunday. Mrs. Charles Gibson of Charlotte returned with them for a visit. Mrs. John C. Gibson was called to Anniston, Ala., over the week end on account of the illness of her daughter, Mrs. Jack E. Hut cherson, who is in the hospital there. Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Honeycutt were Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Brown Jr., and daughter, Deborah, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Young and Holland Holton, all of Mocksville, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Lowe at tended a surprise birthday party for Mr. Lowe's jnother, Mrs. J. L. Lowe at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Pittman at Green Creek on Tuesday night.
