Mrs. Horace Bennett of R-2, Mill Spring and Miss Sophia Michael, Tryon, was discharged from the hospital. Loyd Comer, Raymond Ander son, Wiley White, Chreston Mar tin and David Huggins of Saluda returned today to State College, Raleigh, after spending spring va cation at their homes. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Moore and Ligon Flynn have also returned to State College. TODAY is BLOOD BANK DAY at the PARISH HOUSE! Mr. and Mrs. Wilson F. Mac Laughlin and two children, Bob and Carol of Denver, Col., are visiting Mrs. MacLaughlin’s par ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Trow bridge, in the Hunting Country. College students returning to Chapel Hill from Tryon include Ervin Hester, Carroll Brady, John Guilbei't; and to St. Mary’s in Raleigh, Miss Margo Hester and Miss Ann Going. Dr. Shands is a cousin of Miss Ruth Shands of Landrum and Tryon. He is a graduate of Mercer University, Macon, Ga., where he made an out standing record as an all “A” student.
