CREETINGS SANTA CLAUS One Tryon man who for years enjoyed playing the part of Santa Claus by promoting Christmas pro grams, such as Christmas trees for the white children and one for the Negro children, is Charles J. Lynch. He has been ill at home for some time and is not on Trade Street this Christmas. This would be a good time for many young sters to send him greetings of best wishes and let him know they remember him for his many kindnesses. For many years through the Kiwanis Club he pro moted the distribution of- baskets of food and fruit, and helped de liver them all over the county to needy families. He also had many private projects where he helped the aged and needy throughout the year. He was a Santa Claus to a lot of people of all ages, but in recent years hundreds of kiddies regardless of need remem ber him for his cheerful greetings and sticks ef chewing gum. He never failed to have a supply. He and Mrs. Lynch always held open house to their friends during the Christina" season and the besi wishes of many grateful peopie are extended to Mr. and Mrs. Lynch this Christmas, Mrs. Claude Scoggins was the lady to win the Debutog raincoat at Ballenger’s Tuesday night.
