VARIETY OF COURSES AT ISOTHERMAL Isothermal is starting the new year by offering a variety of courses in Polk County. Classes listed will start in January. Income tax time perks up interest in how to cope with Uncle Sam. Ed Delehanty will teach three classes. A basic class for beginners, two tax problems classes for newcomers; one for retirees, the other for working adults. Two classes will emphasize physical fitness; Yoga will be offered Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Fitness and Figure Control will be on Monday night. Adults interested in foreign languages will have two oppor tunities to study. Beginning Russian III and Beginning Spanish I will be morning classes in Tryon. St. Luke’s Hospital will host classes in First Aid, Sign Language and Caring Pr the Elderly Patient. Call Mrs. Pittman or Mrs. Early at the hospital for more information. People intersted in Herb Gardening will have a rare opportunity to study under Ruth Wrensch. Gain an apprectiation of herbs, and how to grow and use them. Personal enjoyment and know ledge may also be gained by joining other classes. Interior Decorating is new this year. Furniture Refinishing will be repeated. Macrame will be offered in Green Creek and Cake Decorating is planned for Tryon. Of the several sewing classes offered only the Thursday night class has openings available.
