Clinic Schedule Clinic schedule for week of March 24th at the Polk County Health Dept, in Columbus is as follows: Monday: General clinic- (immunization, hypertension screening, tbc test etc.) 8:30 a.m. — 5 p.m. Tuesday: Child Health nurse screening (by appointment) speech and hearing (by appoint ment) Wednesday: Pediatric 9—11 a.m. Thursday: Maternity, 8:30-10 a.m. Home health care by physician referral. Tonight The Spartanburg County Democratic Party will holds its convention Monday at 7 p.m. at Hodge Center at the University of South Carolina at Spartanburg. Local party officers to be elected are chairman, three vice chair men, treasurer, secretary, exe cutive committeeman and finance director. Plans are also to elect 31 delegates and 31 alternates to the state convention. DIED THURSDAY Continued From Page One Directors Association. He was active in civic and political affairs. He served 10 years as a member of Spartan burg County District One School Board of Trustees. During his term, the 0. P. Earle Elementary School was built. He was a •charter member and past president of the Landrum Lions Club, a charter member and past president of the Landrum Ruritan Club, member of the Landrum Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Landrum Preinct of the Democratic Party for many years. He was a member of the Landrum Masonic Lodge and Hejaz Shrine. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mildred McComb Petty of Morgan Road, Landrum; three sons, John L. Petty, III, James M. Petty and Joseph T. Petty of Landrum; a daughter, Mrs. Susan Petty Harmon of Greens boro; a sister, Mrs. Ben C. Gramling of Gramling, S. C.; six grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Petty Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Members of the S. C. Funeral Directors Association were an honorary escort.
