Friday at 7:30 p.m. there will be folk and square dancing at the Pickin’ Parlor (4-H Center in Columbus.) The Student Council' members feel that they have achieved their main goal which was to set up better relationships between teachers and students. Tryon Beats Rosman 8-3 The Tryon Tigers defeated the Rosman Tigers baseball team 8-3 Tuesday afternoon at Harmon Field. Jeff Sherer went all the way for Tryon as he spaced out 8 hits and gave up no walks. He aided his cause with a triple. Bruce Butler was the leading hitter as he had 2 for 2. Robert Nelon had a double in three trips to the place and drove in two runs. Barry Skipper was 1 for 1 and Kevin Pace 1 for 2. For Rosman, Jeff Whitmire had a triple off of the football' fence.
