Conference tomorrow at 4 p.m. at Harmon Field. “An Evening With Cole Porter” is at the Tryon Fine Arts Center, Thurs., Fri. and Sat. at 8:15 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:15 p.m. Thursday is the Strawberry Festival ’80 at the Tryon Presbyterian Church. The 52nd annual Tryon Horse Show is Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Harmon Field. Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. there is a Fried Chicken Supper at Sunny View School. Keep canned foods in a cool, dry place. He organizes all of the Tennis Tournaments; manages all tra vel needs of the team and accompanies the teams to out of town meets; he give private coaching to individual players and is always mindful of their abilities and growth. The school and parents alike are aware of the positive influence Mr. Stirling has on their young people. It is the community’s great fortune to have such an unusually depend able and capable volunteer. It is evident that his interests lie not only in developing tennis players but also in developing individuals — physically, mentally and socially.
