Those wishing to come for the day may get an application with complete information, by Tryon Daily Arts And Crafts At Coon Dog Day In planning for the Annual celebration of the Saluda “Coon Dog Day”, July Sth. members of the Saiuda Association of Artists and Craftsman are inviting artists and craftsmen of the area to join them in presenting their work. Hours for exhibiting and selling will be from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. The work to be offered by members of the Saluda Associa tion of Artists and Craftsmen will include pottery, macrame, whit tled figures, native materials, wooden toys, small furniture pieces, hand bowl turnings, watercolors, prints, Coon Dog Day posters for 1980, wood puzzles and antique signs. The work of the members of the Association will also be on sale the afternoon of July 4th. Booths will be in the downtown area. Plans for the day include a Coon Dog parade, climaxed by the traditional Coon Dog float. A chicken dinner will be served by the Coon Dog Club, with a Barbecue Supper offered by the Volunteer Fire Department.
