Tryon Daily Bulletin, Fri., Aug. 2- |SS ° Communication Having spent forty years in th® banking business, thirty if loan end of it. I believe that 1 am well acquainted with the factors considered when extending loans. In the case of one to a n individual, the first consideration would be its purpose. Secondly, does the individual have both a stable and adequate enough income to repay the size loan requested. Thirdly, does the individual have a favorable credit record based on comparable credit extensions. Lastly, if the above factors are on the thin side there would be a need for collateral. On this basis Libya had to know that Billy did not qualify for a loan of over two hundred thousand. They had to have based its extension on the fact that blood is thicker than water and that extension of the loan would have collateral benefits. Don't think they could have assumed this either, on just Bill's assurance. What do you think? Russell Gratner Bobby Henson, Jr. has entered UN'C at Chapel Hill where he is a junior. PEEBLES DEPT.
