'’'^^L j s Boerner Rindge, accomplished professional artist, is setting up a studio. Two Rindge childrenhare n. 1 and Sean. 14 are enrolled in the Tryon High School. Fred H. Rindge V is a sophomore at Washington and Lee University. Lexington. Virginia. The Rindges come to Tryon from Emporia, Kansas where Dr. Rindge was associated with the largest chiropractic clinic in Kansas. Dr. Rindge is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred 11. Rindge III who recently purchased property on Peniel Rd., Columbus. His grandparents, the late Reverend and Mrs. Edmund Melville Wylie, retired to Tryon in the 1940’s where they built the home now owned by Dr. Joseph F. Borg. Dr. Wylie was, for a time, interim minister of Tryon's Congregational Church. Following graduation from The Darrow School and the University of Omaha, Dr. Rindge spent eleven years as navigator in the Strategic Air Command. He then attended Palmer college of Chiropractic from which he graduated magna cum laude and salutatorian of his class. He directed the Rindge Chiropractic Clinic in Lexington. Va, for six years prior to moving to Kansas He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon social fraternity and Pi Tau Delta, international chiropractic honorary society. Mrs. Rindge's paintings’ are represented in numerous private corporate and institutionai collections. She received awards ln i u u ned ? hows in scveral stales and has eleven one man shows to her credit. She is also an interior decorator. She is a graduate of St Margaret's School and Ohit m^ le h an ^ iVCRit >’ Where she s^udentthere 11 and ' 3 former Mens Garden Club Meets Thursday The Tryon Mens Garden Club will meet Thursday evening Sept 25 at 7:30 in the Conference Room at NCNB. The speaker will be Paul Culberson, knowledgeable authority on Carolina gardening. Mr. Culberson will discuss the problems which have resulted from the extremely dry and hot summer and how this has affected the shrubs and lawns, and what can be done to counteract this damage.
