Widespread interest has been demonstrated in this lifesaving procedure for victims of heart attack, stroke or internal beleding. First classes have gotten under way with full registration and more classes are scheduled. The calendar of events has shaped up as follows: Sept. 19th CPR demonstration before Tryon Rotary Club. 22nd and 24th, CPR class for adults at Tryon High School. 6 p.m. — 10p.m. 23rd and 25th, Second adult class at Tryon High School, 6 p.m. — 10 p.m. 30th, CPR demonstration before Tryon Kiwanis Club. 30th and Oct. 1, Tryon United Methodist Church for women s group9a.m. — 1p.m. 30, Oct. 2 and 7, CPR class for Tryon School faculty, 6:30 — 9:30 p.m. Oct. 9, “Race for Life" (modified course) for Tryon High School students 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 5and 12, CPR class for 4-H Club members at 4-H Center, Columbus, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Advance registration for courses is required, together with payment of $3.30 for class materials. All organizations or individuals wishing to join in this program should contact the Red Cross at Tryon Depot on Monday, Tuesday and Friday mornings or any of the following members of the Safety Services Committee: Marvin Arledge, chairman; Mrs. E.
