McFarland John Walker McFarland, 73, died Tuesday at his home in Rochester. Michigan. He had retired from Detroit Edison Electric Co. He had made his home in Michigan for the past 50 years. He was a native of Polk County and was a son of the late Robert F. and Maude Newman McFarland He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie McFarland; a son. Robert McFarland of Berkley. Mich ; a daughter. Mrs. M. G McInerney, Bloomfield Hills, Mich ; two sisters, Mrs. Joe C. White of Hickory and Mrs. Walter Lowe of Landrum, S. C.; one brother, William A McFarland of Columbus; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Services will be held today in Detroit.
