The public is invited. On Exhibit Mary Schweder-Patterson’s Porcelain pieces are being exhibited in several galleries in November-December. The Sumter Gallery of Art in Sumter, S. Harry Waters will teach this course on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 until 9:30p.m. Purple martins will eat up to 30 pounds of flying insects in a season and a colony of martins will return to the same spot year after year. According to Waters, martins are one of the best mosquito controls available. Anyone 18 or older may enroll in the class. Registration is $5.00. North Carolina residents 65 or older do not have to pay a registration fee.
