The annual Polk County Girl Scout Day Camp is being held from June 15 — 19 at the Miller Mountain Camp site on Howard Gap Road. Camp is from 9a.m. to3p.m. Mrs. A. M. Turner Mrs. Mariel Wilhoite Turner. 76, died Thursday morning al White Oak Terrace in Tryon. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and was a daughter of the late Stanton and Grace Bowen Wilhoite. She was the widow of A. Monroe Turner who died March 25,1981 and had made her home here for the past 9 years. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sororiety. Surviving are a cousin, Mrs. Alfred Widner of Columbus. Ohio. There will be no local services. McFarland Funeral Chapel is in charge. Red Fox Has Three Winners The monthly event of the Women's Western North Carolina Golf Assn, was held at Biltmore Forest Country Club in Asheville Tuesday. There were three Red Fox players who were winners: Nancy Roselle won low gross, C. Flight; Mary Lenox had 29 putts for low putts in B Flight; Brenda Merkel won low putts in C Flight with 27 putts.
