The new location is on Highway No. 9, approximately two miles north of Mill Spring toward Lake Lure from Mill Spring the entrance drive is on the left just before the Garrett Rd. (No. 1140) intersection. The last operating dale at the old site off Peniel Road is Saturday July 11, 1981. At the conclusion of work on this day a final cover will be established, grass sown, and the property turned over to the owners. The old site property will revert to private hands and under no circumstances will any dumping be permitted after July 11, 1981. The county will actively prosecute any violators. Landfill operating hours at the new site will be published prior to opening as soon as they are established.
