A one-person play, "Belle” is based on the life of poet Emily Dickinson, who is 53 years old at the time of the play. One of the Dickinson sources cited by Mr. Luce with gratitude in the printed play is "The Lyman Letters" by Richard B. Sewall. Mr. Sewall has visited Tryon often, and his brother Grenville resides here. Any actress wishing to read for the role of Emily who cannot attend tomorrow’s audition is asked to call the Fine Arts Center office to arrange an alternate audition date: 859-5248.
