Three electric power compa nies in the state have donated funds for customers in their service areas to purchase elec tric fans: Duke Power and Carolina Power and Light both donated $20,000 total, and North Carolina Power contrib uted $2,500. Project Fan-Heat Relief is administered by the North Car olina Division of Aging. Polk County's fans will be disbursed through the Polk County Com- mission on Aging.
