The highlight of the eveninj was set off by a skit entitled * * "Just Us Girls", presenting thi ii msiury ui uie uiuu, wiuuii wai founded in 1941. Participants in the skit wen Mrs. Roxanna Pitts, who playei the role of Mrs. Bobby Sox; Mrs Maggie McCorkle played Mrs Annie Harwood and Mrs. Minnii Webb played the part of Mrs Hank Johnson. The skit consisted of thre< unique scenes representing th development of the club fron 1941 to 1974. A' memorial wa given by Mrs. Beola R. Ducket and remarks by the clul ^? president, Mrs. Cora Grie followed. f The Les Bonnes Filles Club ha i tried hard to live up to their nam in the community and has givei donations to chartitabl organizations, the sick and th less fortunate. In addition to thei many other great services, th club furnished a complete room at Reynolds Memorial Hospits at a cost of $895.00. K^^Hbr; 4 *p M ** *3^1 H j THE SENSA' "Belly Da Course F< A 'Dancercise' course for women, featuring belly dancing, will begin Wednesday, Sep- i tember 4 at the Spruce Street 1 Y.M.C.A. > The lessons will be one-hour ' sessions each Wednesday for ' eight weeks, starting at 7:30 p.m. Instruction will include 1 isolation exercises - which are 1 patterns that require moving one part of the body while holding the I rest of the body still. For example . J -moving the rib cage from side to \ side while keeping hips still, or ( 3 and the lower torso the right at ' the same time and reversing movement in , time with the I music. I Mastering isolation dancing is B not hard and it teaches the s muscles to move in solo fashion, which is the key to graceful belly |j dancing. Other dance steps will be ' utilized in the dancercise course > to by-pass the tedium of 'just e plain exercise' to keep in shape. ' The course is for beginners of all ages.
