Many local notables have emerged from past Atkins Variety Shows, such as Willie Feaster and the Magnificents, recording artist for All Platinum record company, Wesley Johnson of the internationally acclaimed Aridales, based in Europe, and more recently the Fabulous Opus VII, the electrifying Eliminators and the never aging, omi-present Gore and the Upsetters. Previous shows with jampacked audiences in Atkins High School gynasium have been stirred to hand clapping and foot stomping the superb local talent. Judging from these past experiences, those present can be assured that they are q being entertained by stars of tomorrow. Final auditions will be held Saturday, January 25 at the Toronado Club on Liberty Street at 3 p.m. o The Winston-Salem Chronicle /7\, ' IW -A J. it J ' 'y?.A~?r v ^ jUj^i 'x^ , ^if ? j'r1^ ^1 iJhfat*'>?vB SION An Informal panel discussion for rrullo, TV and film majors at t week at Shaw University.
