Items . were worth $295.= m w w The manager of Parkway' Texaco at 851 Corporation Parkway reported a robbery July 27. He stated he left cash and credit card receipts out beside his cash register and someone stole them. According to him, a box containing weekly credit business receipts from Bank Americard, Master Charge and Texaco were taken. . Estimated loss is^$l,585.85. * * Rufus Speaks of 4200 Jasmin Ct. was charged July 26 with carrying a concealed weapon. Howard Williams of 4308 Orchid Drive stated Speaks threw a bucket of paint on him and tried to cut him with a butcher knife after the foreman of the construction team told Speaks he was too drunk to work. "* * * Sandra Hawkins of 1649 Emerald Street was charged July 26 with assault. Mrs. Hawkins in turn charged her husband with assault. This week the "Man in The Street" decided to ask the citizens of Winston-Salem their feelings and experiences in regard to the recession. Despite reports, that the^ "recession is letting up the majority of citizens interviewed felt the recession is still very much with us.
