HOLIDAY SEASON
by Teresa Lyon
Christmas time is here
^ -So wrap your presents with care,
The New Year will soon be near,
When balloons are thrown in the air!
i<4
Trees are decorated with lights,
So you can see them nice and bright.
Fireworks are shot into the sky,
As you go riding by.
We give presents and gifts too1*11
even give one to you.
Christmas is a happy time
That's why I wrote this rhyme.
CHRISTMAS DAY
by Lorlnda Smith
Christmas is a religious day,
Christ was born then-people say,
It is always green and red,
If you're Moravian, you have coffee and bread.
snow is VERY, VERY bright,
It is VERY shiny at night!
The people sing, the doorbells ring!
When you get toys, its always a joy
The trees are covered-people hovered,
^ It is very culd, and also bold?
There are VERY few
Not celebrating like me and YOU!
Readers: Because you're my sunshine and inspiration and
because you've made this column extra special to me, I'd like to
personally dedicate to all of you
A CHRISTMAS WISH
by Azzie Wagner c> 1974
May the brilliance of God's Eternal Peace,
shed light at Christmas timeAnd
may you and those close to you
forever keep in mind...
That long ago in a lonely stable,
in a lowly manger lay..*
A darling Christ Child given to the world,
On an humble bed of hay.
> .< ? < ????
As tne angeis neraiaea ms coming,
There came travelers near and far
To witness this marvelous phonomena of birth,
Guided by the Bethelehem Star!
The Wise Men from the East,
Brought the richest gifts of all,
Gold, Myrrh, and Frankincense,
And more without a call.
Even the animals lowered their heads in silence
In honor of this birthOf
a Savior Jo this bitter world*
Salvation to this earth!
So as you approach this Christmas time
Let the savior into your lite
And as you launch into 1976
Abolish hatred, greed, and strife!
Here's Wishing YOU a MERRY CHRISTMAS READERS!

you come together at this
season when that most widely

In her enlightening speech
about the significance that the
Order of Eastern Stars play,
Mrs. Williams reminded the
"Queens of Olympic" that
they were not to have
inclinations like movie stars and
have a tendency to fade
into the past for fear of age.
"Instead," said Mrs.
Payne, "each year should help
you shine brighter for you
should not hide your lights but
place them on top for the
world to see and to help all
