Terri is a 14-year-old 9th grader at Hill High School but I from her interests and from 1 -reading her poetry and writing one would perhaps think that she was much older. I Tprri Viae Kppti fnlrino Knfh -*-?? wvvii tuning WUI tap and ballet dancing for a number of years and finds it quite an easy chore to intermingle poetry writing with her dancing and other activities. In speaking about her most favorite topic for writing she smiles and says, "I enjoy writing about things in nature and I especially like writing Haiku," she said. Haiku is 1 three-lined Japanese poetry of a certain syllabic pattern. "I also like reading other people's poetry and this sometimes turns me on to write too." Terri not only writes poetry but has written several narratives for which she has been recognized. One of them "Walk in the Night" was published. Two of her poems that have been published are "Stallion" (Uphill Magazine, 1976 and "Cancer" Chronicle July 12 issue). Last summer in an enrichment program she wrote and produced a play called The Abondoned Village. "I liked drama and production," states Ms. Wall, "because I can really put myself into it and express my feelings." Some of Terri's hobbies include Ice "figure" skating, tennis, swimming, playing the piano and the flute.
