The boys basketball team
from St. Benedict the Moor
Catholic School won first place
in the annual Piedmont
Catholic School League Basketball
Tournament last weekend.

Bishop McGuinness Memorial
High School.
After three minutes of
overtime, the final score was
38 for St. Benedict and 37 for
St. Leo's.
During the tournament, the
cheerleaders from St. Benedicts
also won first-place in
the cheerleaders tournament.
This was the first time the
girls of St. Benedicts had ever
won.

"A Prelude to Spring
Fashions" was the title of a
fashion show presented and
sponsored by the WinstonSalem
Enterprises last Sunday
evening. The show was held in
the chapel of Johnson's Home
of Memory and was directed
by Mrs. Barbara Wardlow.
Commentator was Mrs. Johnetta
Moore.
This was the first in a series
of fund-raising activities to be
sponsored by Winston-Salem
Enterprises - a newly formed
organization. According to

of the organization is to aid
and assist underprivileged
people in times of distress; be
it financial or otherwise.
