Bethel from 1886 to 1889, the first Clerk of Session was Elder F.M. Martin, the second Moder atjor and Pastor was The Reverend Dr. J.C. Alston from 1889 until 1946, and the third Moderator and Pastor was The Reverend State W. Alexander II from 1947 until 1968. Other Moderators Of Session were The Reverend Dr. J.D. Peterson; 19461947, The Reverend J.E. McKenzie; 1968-1971, and The Reverend Catherine Reed who is now Moderator since 1971.
