That night the REd Sox Boosters Club's annual "Meet the Players" din ner will be held at Holiday Inn North, starting at 6:30. The dinner is open to the public with tickets on sale at the door. Winston Lake could be more productive with some small improvements like fertilizing and the introduction of threadfin shad for the numerous small crappie to feed on. The kids catch stringers of crappies that could grow into nice pan size fish if they were properly cultivated. Winston Lake, no matter how we size it up, is still larger than fans ponds and there are some farm ponds that afford good fishing because of the good management.
