Douthit Young Pianist Plays for Church By Isaac Carree, n George Arthur Pass II, age 11, is considered quite a musical prodigy by his fellow church members. At the age of 11 he has reached peaks and heights that are remarkable for an organist who first began playing by ear only. He then ventured into formal training. At the age of seven he began piano lessons under the guidance of Ms. Adele Scott, a local piano tutor and teacher. He studied under Ms. Scott for two years and presently he is an outstanding student at the “Metts Music Studio” here in Winston-Salem. George has appeared at several musical recitals, each time leaving the audi ences stunned and amazed. He is also the only piano and organ player for his church. Love Telmple C. O. G.
