SERVICES PROPOSAL
CITY OF WINSTON-SALEM
The City of Winston-Salem is inviting submission of professional
services proposals from Architectural/Engineering firms to
prepare reports, plans, and specifications for a Transit Terminal.

public transit system. An existing facility is to be evaluated
and if appropriate, used in the development of the new Transit
Terminal.
Evaluation criteria to be utilized in review of the proposals and
in the selection of the firm to provide these services is listed below
in descending order of relative importance.
1. Candidate's proposed method to accomplish the work.
2. Candidate's specific personnel to be utilized on the
project. If the firm has more than one office, please
indicate which office will provide the services required
and if other offices or subcontracts are anticipated in
providing any of the services in part or whole.
3. Specialized experience and technical competence of the
candidate and its personnel in connection with the type of
services required in relation to the complexity of this project.
4. Past record of performance on contracts with the City of
Winston-Salem or other governmental agencies or public
bodies, including factors such as cost control, quality of
work, and ability to meet schedules.
5. Capacity of candidate to perform the work within rMsoqabl*
time limitations taking into consideration the current and
planned workload of the candidate.
6. Proof of financial responsibility.
7. Familiarity of the candidate with types of problems
applicable to the project.
Any contract awarded under this request for submission of pro- fessional
services proposals is expected to be funded in part by a
grant from the Urban Mass Transit Administration. Selection of
the Architectural/Engineering firm will be contingent upon final
approval by UMTA.
In connection with the performance of this contract, the con

and goals with regard to the maximum utilization of
minority business enterprises and will use its best efforts to insure
that minority business enterprises shall have the maximum practicable
