Ebony Funeral Directors in charge of services and arrangements.
Mr. George Truesdale
Mr. George Truesdale of 325 W. 23rd St., died Jan. 1st
at N.C. Baptist Hospital. The body remained at Clark S.
Brown & Sons Funeral Home. He was a native of Lancaster
County, SC, and has lived in Winston-Salem for
the past sixty years. He was a retired Construction
worker and was of the Baptist Faith.
c Surviving relatives are one son. Mr. George Herbert
Jones of Rural Hall N.C.; one cousin; Mrs. Viola Collins
of this city. Several other relatives and friends

Mr. Ben Moore Roseboro Sr.
Mr. Ben Roseboro Sr., of 1309 Cromartie St., died
Jan. 2 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. The body remained
at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. He was a
native of Winnsboro, S.C. and has lived in WinstonSalem
for the past fifty-eight years. He was a retired
employee of RJ Reynolds and was a faithful member of .
Reynolds Temple GME Church, where he served as
Church Treasurer, a member of the Steward & Trustee
Boards, retired veteran of World War I.
Surviving relatives are two daughters, Mrs. Anne R7
Crowder and Mrs. Alexandra R. Jackson both of this city;,
two sons, Mr. Eddie L. Rosboro,and Mr. Ben
Roseboro, Jr., both of this city; three daughter-in-laws;
six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, several other
relatives and friends.

Mr. Manuel Dobson
Mr. Manuel Dobson of Winston-Salem, died Dec. 30th at
Hoots Memorial Hospital in Yadkinville, N.C. He was
a native of Surry County, N.C. and was a retired
employee of Chatman Manufacturing Co. He was a
faithful member of Clark Chapel Baptist Church, where
he served as a Deacon and Treasurer,and was a veteran of
World War II.
Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Lillie Mae
Reynolds Dobson of the home; one daughter, Miss
Grayland Dobson of this city; one son, Mr. Manuel Dobson
Jr. of this city; one sister, Mrs. Janie Dobson of this
city; one brother, Mr. Walter Dobson of this city; two
grandchildren; one daughter-in-law.

Funeral services were held Jan 2, at Clark Chapel Baptist
Church at 2:00 pm. The body did remain at the
Angell & Long Funeral Home until 1:30 pm. at which
time it was placed in state in the Church until the Funeral
hour. Interment was held in a local Cemetery.

Mr. Benjamin Franklyn Trivell ~
Mr. Benjamin Franklyn Trivell, of the Pell Care Nursing
Home, and formerly of 2910 New Walkertown Road,
died Jan. 1st at the home. He was a native of
Orangeburg, S.C. and a retired employee of Pine Hall
Brick Co. and the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.
Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Lola Trivell, of
Knollwood Hall Nursing Home; One daughter, Mrs.
Elizabeth Thomas, of Painter, Va.; two sisters, Mrs.
Mamie Randolph, of New York City, and<?Mrs. Emma
Glover, of Phildelphia, Penn; One grandson; three
grand-daughters; eight great-grandchildren and other
relatives and friends.. a
Funeral services were conducted Jan. 6th at 4:00 pm. in
the Chapel of the Hooper Funeral Home, with Rev. E.L.
Clark officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen
Cemetery... ^
Hooper Funeral Directors were in charge of services.
Mr. Roy Brown Cook Jr.
Mr. Roy Brown Cook Jr., of 3621 Carver Road, died
Jan. 1st, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was a native
of this city and a faithful member of Reynolds Temple
CME Church. He was a retired employee of the Hanes
Corp. .
Surviving relatives are his mother, Mrs Maggie C.
Parker; step father, Mr. Theodore Parker, both of the.
home: two daughters, Ms. Rovia E. Cook, of
Chesapeake, Virginia, Ms Robin L. Cook, of Boston,
Mass.;three sons, Mr. Roy B. Cook III, Of the home, Mr.
Ronald. L. Cook, of Boston, Mass., and Mr. Roy T.
Scales, of New York, NY; one brother, Mr. Joe H.
Austin, of this city; five grandchildren; one step-sister,
Mrs Luella P. Lindsey, of New Jersey, and other relatives
and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Jan. 5th at 3:00 pm. at
the Reynolds Temple C^IE Church, with Rev. George O.
Bell Jr. officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen
